Following weeks of rigorous training and mentorship, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) 2018 HotHouse Summer Accelerator companies have hit the ground running with innovative business ventures. For the next two years, all accelerator companies will continue to advance their startups as participants in the HotHouse Incubator program, leveraging all CIE resources, including expertise from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
“The accelerator program has provided a collaborative space along with mentors and connections that have helped our company tenfold,” said Spencer Harrison, co-founder of NeoCharge. “As an incubator company, we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our business.”
The HotHouse Incubator program helps local early-stage companies develop into financially stable, high-growth enterprises by providing essential tools, training and infrastructure. Program assets include valuable mentorship, monthly peer-to-peer discussions, an advisory board dedicated to each startup, participation in pitch nights, various networking opportunities and exclusive access to an array of entrepreneurial events in the local community. Businesses in the incubator also benefit from a dynamic and motivational atmosphere fostered at the CIE HotHouse in downtown San Luis Obispo.
“I am looking forward to staying in touch with the entrepreneurial experience, as well as the great people that fill the HotHouse,” said David Bartolomucci, President and co-founder of the recently admitted incubator company, Roopairs Technologies.
Any community member, regardless of their affiliation with Cal Poly, can take advantage of the plentiful business resources available at the CIE HotHouse through the incubator program. Small business owners and startup founders with companies demonstrating technology innovation, scalability and high-growth potential are encouraged to apply to be an incubator company.
