Retired in 2022 from The Boeing Company as the Chief Program Engineer (CPE) for the Boeing Commercial airplane programs; 747-8 and Boeing Out of Production fleets including 19 different airplane models. As the CPE Cid’s primary responsibility was to ensure product integrity and safety, providing technical leadership through oversight, direction & guidance for all things related to the fleet. During his 31 years with The Boeing Company, Cid held multiple positions in management and was an individual contributor on the majority of new airplane development programs including leading a cross functional team to develop optimization solutions, an international assignment to provide technical oversight, and working with suppliers to resolve issues in production. He was an integral part of the structural analysis and testing for multiple airplane programs including the, 737, 777 and 787. Cid’s experience also includes engineering software development, accident investigation, FAA collaboration/certification, labor relations, customer support and leading multiple teams large and small.
